Headspace Centres act as a one stop shop for the support of young people with their mental and physical health. Base were fortunate to be able to assist Headspace and Open Minds in their essential work through the design detailing and construction of the new centre at Strathpine. The tender package was designed and documented by Rhuben Design. Details such a batten walls, VJ panelling, residential style windows and wall lights have been introduced for a more welcoming and less clinical feel as per input from the talented youth reference group, with a neutral palette of white, charcoal and timber providing a perfect backdrop for the vibrant Headspace colours and forms. The overall effect is welcoming and uplifting while a comfortable and reassuring space for its occupants.
